Mike and Sarah were married in September 2022 in the courtyard at Hacienda del Sol, with the fountain at the center of everything and the Santa Catalina foothills rising behind it.

September in Tucson gives you light worth planning around. As the afternoon turned, the sun dropped low enough to come through the courtyard at an angle and the whole desert went gold. We put Mike and Sarah with the sun directly behind them and let it flare across the lens. It is the kind of frame you cannot manufacture at midday and cannot fake in a color grade afterward, and it is the reason a sunset window is worth protecting on a Tucson wedding timeline before anything else claims it.

This was a film-only day. What we came away with is a record of how that hour actually felt.
